Fall Online Course Registration For Incoming Students Class of 2029

Incoming Students Class of 2029 Registration Timeline

  • Mon-Fri April 14-18: Spring Break (Incoming families assigned to Ballard HS are sent a welcome email)
  • April 22: Open Enrollment results from the district available online
    • April 22 – April 29: Incoming SPS Grade 8 Registration Window for the Class of 2029 and SPS Transfer students new to Ballard HS (SPS students submit their requests online via their Student Source account) by Tuesday, April 29 at 9 p.m.
    • April 22 – April 29: Incoming Out-of-District Students Grades 8-11 submit their completed Course Selection Worksheet via email to counselor, Katie Huguenin, kwhuguenin@seattleschools.org by Tuesday, April 29 at 9 p.m.
  • April 23: Special Education Open House at Ballard HS (4-5 p.m.) Special Education Department Chairs will be available to meet with incoming 8th grade students/families with IEPs
  • April 23: Optional 15 minute in-person appointments with Ballard HS counselors (3-5 p.m.) (sign-up link will be provided on website and via email to families in April).
  • April 24 & 28: Optional Small Group Registration Q&A for 8th Grade Families (Virtual Event) (evening; time TBD) (sign-up link will be provided on website and via email to families in April). 
  • April 28: Optional 15 minute in-person appointments with Ballard HS counselors (4-6 p.m.) (sign-up link will be provided on website and via email to families in April). 

PLEASE NOTE! Your 2025-26 class schedule is built completely on which courses & alternates you SUBMIT. If you do not complete this CRITICAL step by the deadline, it could result in not getting the courses you wanted. Students who submit their requests earlier in the window don’t get special priority, so please take your time and choose carefully, but make sure do it by the deadline. Schedule changes in September will only be allowed for very special circumstances.

Reminder! If you do not complete this Critical Step of submitting your course requests within your class registration window, it could result in not getting the courses you wanted.
