Fall Online Course Registration

Course Registration Timeline Class of 2030

• February 24: School Choice lottery results will be posted via the Assignment Lookup Tool or through the Source. Families can view their student’s lottery outcome or their position on a waitlist online.
• Week of March 2: Assignment letters will be mailed and emailed to families who received a new school assignment through the lottery process.
• March 6: Welcome email sent to incoming families of freshman and new transfer students assigned to Ballard HS for the 2026-2027 school year
• March 9 – March 20: Incoming SPS Freshman Registration Window begins for the Class of 2030 (Current SPS students submit their requests online via their Student Source account) by Friday, March 20 at 9 p.m.
• March 12: Optional 15 minute in-person appointments with Ballard HS counselors (4-6 p.m.) (sign-up link will be provided on website and via email to families in early March).
• March 16 and 17: Optional Small Group Registration Q&A for Incoming 9th Grade Families
  • March 16: Group Virtual Event 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. 
    • Sign-up link will be provided on website and via email to families in early March 
  • March 17: Group Virtual Event 6:15 – 7:15 p.m. 
    • Sign-up link will be provided on website and via email to families in early March 
• March 17: Optional 15 minute in-person appointments with Ballard HS counselors 4-6 p.m.
  • (sign-up link will be provided on website and via email to families in early March). 
• March 18: Special Education Course Registration at Ballard HS by appointment only.
  • Counselors available for 15 minute in-person appointments via the Bookings sign up. (and in email to families in late February)
    • Special Education Department Chairs will be available to meet with incoming freshman students/families with current IEPs
• Due March 20: Incoming SPS Freshman Registration Window for the Class of 2030 (Current SPS students submit their requests online via their Student Source account) by Friday, March 20 at 9 p.m.

Reminder! If you do not complete this Critical Step of submitting your course requests within your class registration window, it could result in not getting the courses you wanted.

Please Note!

Your 2026-27 class schedule is built completely on which courses & alternates you Submit Online. If you do not complete this Critical Step by the deadline, it could result in not getting the courses you wanted. Students who submit their requests earlier in the window don’t get special priority, so please take your time and choose carefully, but make sure do it by the deadline. Schedule changes in September will only be allowed for very special circumstances.
