Stay in the Know


  • School photo make-up day is today Oct 7.  This is not for re-takes. This is for students and staff who have not yet had their pictures taken. The photographers will be in the A/C during lunch.  Picture re-take day is Oct 25.
  • The Ballard Film Club will be showing the movie, Halloween, this Friday at 7 p.m. in the PAC
  • Student ID’s have not yet arrived at BHS. It may be later into next week (Oct 14). The ASB Students will be having tables set up when the Student ID are at BHS.
  • The first all school dance in 2 years is coming up. Tickets will start being sold on Mon, Oct 10 at lunch and after school in the AC and will sell through Oct 20. If you want to bring an outside guest to the dance, please come pick up the guest form from the booth in the AC during selling times. The dance is Saturday Oct 22 in the commons from 7:30 – 10:30 p.m.
  • Calling All Freshman! ASB Freshman Elections! Interested in running for student leadership? Applications are now posted on the Instagram @ballardclassof2026 and in the Main Office and with the ELA teachers all forms due by Oct 14! Speeches and elections will be held on Oct 27 in the PAC.
  • Need a flu shot?  The Teen Health Center now has Flu Shots available for students!  Students stop by the Teen Health Center to make an appointment.

  • Grade 11 & 12: In Person College visits are in the Counseling Center. Sign up on Naviance or more info on the Counseling webpage.  If you need help, see Ms. Bristol in the Counseling Center.
  • Homecoming Spirit week will start Mon the 17 and will run through Fri the 21. The theme for this year’s Homecoming is “Lights Camera Action”. Mon is PJ Day, Tues is Formal or Fancy Day, Wed is Grill Masters vs PTSA parents, Thurs is Sports Day, and finally Fri is Class Colors.
  • Buff Puff volleyball game on 10/17. Inexperienced players are getting a chance to learn and play volleyball where the juniors will play the seniors. This is the first time we’ve been able to host fans since 2019 so come out and show your support on Monday the 17 at 7 p.m. in the gym.
  • Hallway Decorations 10/18 right after school until 8 p.m. and decorate that area in their class colors. Limited supplies will be provided so please bring your own, if you have questions about what supplies are approved reach out to your class officers for more information.
  • Tech Room hour are: Mon and Fri: 8:00-8:50 and 11:45-12:45 and Wed: 8:00-8:50, 12:00-1:00, and 2:25-3:30
  • Testing! Gr 11 PSAT and Gr 12 SAT on Oct 12. Learn more.
  • Special Schedule: Gr 9 & 10 special schedule release at 1 p.m. for Oct 12. More details to follow.

School Year Calendar Note: All the days missed due to a delay in school will need to be made up during the year or after the scheduled end of the school year. Students need to meet the state requirement of 180 instructional days. A new school calendar will need to be negotiated, approved by SEA and SPS, and approved by the School Board. More details to follow.

Beaver Gear and Spirit Wear Breakdown

  • Athletic Booster Club (ABC) has Beaver Gear and spirit wear (shorts, baseball tee, bleacher seats, plaid flannels, socks, scarf and hats) on the ABC website with Duffle Bags offered at different times of the school year. Refer to the Spirit Wear updates.
  • Now Open!The DAM” BHS Student Store is run by Advanced Marketing Students in the BHS Activity Center (AC) during lunch and has great spirit items (long & short sleeve t-shirts, hoodies, hats, sunglasses, etc.) Follow updates on Instagram: @thedambhsstudentstore
  • Performing Arts (BPA) spirit merchandise can be found on the BPA Website and offered at different times of the school year.
  • Athletics! Check with coaches about specific Athletics/Sports Merchandise
