Just In!

  • AUDITIONS for this year’s musical, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST are happening Nov 30. Pick up an audition packet in the Black Box (NE 224). Questions? See Mr. Riley or Ms. Rowley.
  • Have you picked up your Student ID yet?  If not, please stop by the Main Office and pick-up your card.
  • Seniors were given Cap & Gown ordering packets in ELA Classes. They can also pick one up outside the Main Office. Orders are due to Herff Jones by Dec 31, 2021. More Senior Updates and check out the the Cap & Gown FAQ >
  • In response to a request from BHS student groups, SPS will host an informational session on the district’s policies and procedures regarding reports alleging sexual harassment. This special Q&A session is being offered for BHS students after school on Wed, Dec 1, 2021, from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center.  The information session will be facilitated by staff from the SPS Title IX Office and will include opportunities for students to ask questions. In addition to Title IX Office staff who have experience in conducting trauma-informed investigations, adult professionals trained in trauma-informed care will participate as well.  Social distancing protocols will be followed during this in-person, student information session.

Visitors | Parents/Guardians are asked to wait outside the building when picking up students for appts this year. No visitors are permitted inside school buildings, except (approved vaccinated volunteers). This is a District policy this year.

Schoology: Classroom Resources Learn more about Schoology 

Parents and students use Schoology to see assignments, teacher announcements, reminders and calendars. Schoology is the primary communication tool used for assignments and class details.

Microsoft Teams Classrooms & Community Visit Office 365

Students, teachers, and staff can interact in virtual classrooms using Microsoft Teams districtwide to support remote learning. A consolidated calendar is available to view as well. Teams integrates with our existing systems and learning platforms, including Schoology.

The Source Student and Family Resource Visit The Source 

The primary way that parents and students can check on their grades, attendance, and the Source has a link to SchoolPay, which is an easy way to electronically pay for school-related fees.

School Messenger Important announcements from the Principal 

Time‐sensitive or other critical announcements are sent from School Messenger from Principal Wynkoop. Note: All BHS families are automatically on the distribution for School Messenger.

Text Messages Important Announcements for students 

Text messages can also be sent via TalkingPoints to Ballard HS families. TalkingPoints is a two-way translated texting option for schools to communicate with families.
