The Ballard HS Graduation Ceremony for the Class of 2023 will be held at Memorial Stadium on Friday June 23, 2023 at 8 p.m. No tickets are needed as there is unlimited seating in Memorial Stadium. No Live-streaming confirmed at this time.

Graduation Timeline
Friday, June 23

Seniors must attend the Graduation Rehearsal from 12:45 p.m. – 2:40 p.m. and they do not attend any other classes that day.

Mandatory Graduation Rehearsal at Ballard HS in the PAC

Graduation Rehearsal is mandatory at Ballard High School in the Performing Arts Center (PAC) at 12:45 p.m. and will start promptly at 12:45 p.m.
- Students can begin checking in to the PAC at 12:30 p.m.
- Rehearsal will run from: 12:45 p.m. – 2:40 p.m.
Graduation Rehearsal Attendance is REQUIRED for participation in the Graduation Ceremony.

Ballard HS Commencement Ceremony

The Ballard HS Commencement Graduation Ceremony is at Memorial Stadium at 8 pm.
Graduates should arrive via the player entrance (Off Republican) before 7:30 p.m.
Families should use the main entrances (both doors) to enter, but those will be closed until Lincoln’s Graduation concludes.
Ballard is the 2nd graduation that night, and we are set to start at 8 p.m.
- NO Air horns or other noise making devices.
- Balloons and items that might impede others’ view should remain in your vehicle. You will be asked to return them to the vehicle.
Graduation is outdoors. Wear layers and check the weather.
Graduates and families will meet at the International Fountain (opposite side of the Memorial Stadium/parking where the students will exit) following the Ceremony.

Helpful Reminders

There is a graduation just prior to Ballard’s 8 p.m. start time, so families should plan for time to park.
No tickets are required for the graduation and the event usual lasts two hours.
There is no reserved seating.
No Live Streaming confirmed at this time.
Stadium seat cushions are a good idea.
Students exit on the opposite side of the Memorial Stadium parking to go to the International Fountain to meet family and friends.
Note it may be getting dark. Plan a location to meet by the Fountain.
SPREE participants will leave directly after the ceremony from the Memorial Stadium parking lot on the opposite side of the Fountain. They will receive full details of what to expect the week before graduation.

- Learn more about Naviance or talk to your Counselor.
- Update! Complete a SPS Graduation Survey | All Seniors will take this survey | All students must complete this survey regardless of their post high school plans. This survey is also how the school knows where to send transcripts to colleges. Most importantly, check “attending”, “send final transcript”, save and finish. The Senior Checkout is not complete until the survey is finished.

June 12 – 16: Spirit Week
June 13: Senior Class Meeting first 10 minute of lunch meet in the PAC
June 15: Senior Dinner (Seniors ONLY) Academic/Athletic Awards.
- Held at the Elks Club. Doors open at 6 p.m. and Dinner starts at 6:30 p.m. Presentation at 7 p.m.

Tue. June 20: Regular Bell Schedule
- Senior Finals: Class Periods: 1, 3 & 5
Wed. June 21: Regular Wed Bell Schedule
- Senior Finals: Class Periods 2, 4 & 6
Thurs., June 22: Regular Bell Schedule
- A 1-6 period day schedule, complete senior check-out
- Senior Check-Out, Fines Due, and Laptop Check-In

Senior Class Info – Graduation Cap & Gown Orders with National Achiever (Herff Jones)

Purchase/Place Orders Graduation Cap & Gown and other items, announcements as soon as possible for vendor to have stock.
There are limited cap and gown sets available from the Counseling Center for loan for students in need. Stole and tassel not available for loan please see your Counselor if needed.
