Seawolves Game Ticket Discounts May 3

Families can experience the thrill of professional rugby with discounted tickets using our special PTSA Fundraiser Gala discount link. In addition, the BHS Marching Band will be performing at the Seattle Seawolves professional rugby match on Friday, May 3!

This offer includes all upcoming games, including the May 3 College Night game with the halftime band performance. Shout out to BHS Alum and Seawolves Manager of Business Operations, Payton Lawson ’17 for the team’s Gala donation and this special promotion!


Save the Date! Spring Athletic Booster Club Trivia Night May 29

Save the date for our next Trivia Night fundraiser Wednesday, May 29 at the Ballard Elks Club (6411 Seaview Ave. N.W.). Doors open at 6 p.m.; trivia starts at 7 p.m. Gather your friends and family in teams of six for a fun evening testing team trivia skill! Also, the coaches want to regain their position as Trivia Night Champs!

Look for registration details coming soon! Your registration fee is a donation to the Athletic Booster Club to further our mission to support and promote quality athletics at Ballard High School. Donations are fully tax-deductible. Volunteers are needed and service-learning opportunities will be available too. If you want to help, email Beth Sylves at bhsabcmemberships@gmail.com.

Baseball beat Auburn 3-1 at T Mobile Stadium on Saturday, Franklin 9-2 Monday, and Cleveland 7-1 Wednesday.

Girls Fastpitch Softball

Softball has been on a tear this week, beating Blanchet 2-0 Monday, Rainier Beach 18-4 Tuesday, West Seattle 12-1 Thursday, and Kentlake 18-8 Friday. At Friday’s game, the team held an “End to Gun Violence” event, in remembrance of Coach Dale Griffith’s cousin D’Vonne Pickett Jr.

Boys Soccer

Track and Field was one of 71 teams to compete at the Shoreline Invitational Saturday. Results were not available yet. The team has one more regular season meet on Thursday, May 2 at Ingraham, competing against the Rams, Holy Names/O’Dea, Lincoln and Franklin. First event is at 2:45 p.m.

Club Sports: Girls Ultimate Frisbee, Lacrosse

Club Sports: Boys Lacrosse, Girls Lacrosse, Ultimate Frisbee BUF, and also Ballard Unified Basketball (a partnership between Ballard High School and Special Olympics of WA.) are a valuable part of Ballard HS but are not WA Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA) sanctioned sports. Team funding comes from players, families, and donors, instead of SPS and WIAA. Scholarships are available. Club sports signups are not via FinalForms, but on Team Websites.


Club Sport: Girls Ultimate Frisbee

BUF Gx celebrated Senior Night and wrapped their final game of the season against Lincoln Wednesday.

The Ballard Gx Ultimate Frisbee team is open to all girls that want to participate in the Spring Ultimate league.  The season runs through May with practices and games occurring during the school week after school.  Everyone is welcome and no prior experience is necessary. Find out more the BUF website

Ballard Cheer Tryouts May 14-17

Cheer Tryouts are coming up May 14-17 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. in the BHS Main Gym. Fill out interest form in the PTSA Newsletter.

Want to see if cheer is for you, or looking to get in some practice before tryouts? There will be a “Bring a Friend” Open Gym from 4:30-6 p.m. May 8 and 13in the BHS Commons. 


Beaver Gear and Spirit Wear Breakdown

  • Athletic Booster Club (ABC) has Beaver Gear and spirit wear (shorts, baseball tee, bleacher seats, plaid flannels, socks, scarf and hats) on the ABC website with Duffle Bags offered at different times of the school year.
  • The DAM” BHS Student Store is run by Advanced Marketing Students in the BHS Activity Center (AC) during lunch and has great spirit items (long & short sleeve t-shirts, hoodies, hats, sunglasses, etc.) Follow updates on Instagram: @thedambhsstudentstore
  • Performing Arts (BPA) spirit merchandise can be found on the BPA Website and offered at different times of the school year.
