BHS Students & Families

Students, please make sure to check your email. There will be no bells or announcements due to testing.

Important Upcoming Dates

  • Student ID Cards! For students who had their picture taken during the first round of school pictures, your ID cards were distributed in 3rd Period class.
    • Make-Up Day picture ID cards are still coming and will be distributed once they arrive!
  • Students! Did you know you can select the photo from photo day that you would like in the Yearbook? Must follow steps by Oct. 24!

Activities/Student Life

  • The DAM Student Store will open during both lunches! Stop by to pick up snacks, drinks, and merchandise.
  • Our freshman elections have officially wrapped up, and we’re excited to announce our three new Freshman Ambassadors: Bethania Aklilu, Bryson Meyer, and Ion Strohm! A big thank-you to all the students who voted and to the teachers who helped throughout the process — we really appreciate your support. And if you didn’t get a chance to participate this time, don’t worry! There’ll be another election later in the year, so stay tuned.
  • The BPA Fall production of Clue runs October 24, and 25. The cast and crew have been working so hard to produce this awesome show. Come see your peers and a special staff guest every day! Come see your peers and a special staff guest in this awesome show!

Seniors

  • Seniors! There is a Mandatory Senior Meeting in the PAC this Wed, Oct. 22, during LUNCH.
  • The counselors are hosting another college application help session on Wed, Nov. 5, 2:30-3:30 p.m. in the counseling center. Seniors can bring their laptop to get help with their college applications.
  • College visits are in the Counseling Center.  To see who is coming, go to the Counseling page, or Naviance What’s New. Sign up for visits on Naviance as well. Meet the new Counseling Secretary; Ms. Tuitele.
  • Seniors: Are you applying to WSU? Do you have at least a 3.8 GPA? The WSU Regents Scholarship worth $4000/year for four years for a total of $16,000! If you are nominated as a Regents Scholar, you will then compete for the Distinguished Regents Scholars Award, which covers full tuition and fees for four years, approx. $42,000. Contact your school counselor by Mon, Oct. 27 to be considered for this scholarship.

ASB Clubs

  • Black and Brown Student Union/BBSU is having its first meeting tomorrow, Tues, Oct. 21, in Room SW209.
  • DECA meetings will be on Thursdays, both lunches, in the library. Stop by to get the latest information and to have a chance at fun prizes for members.

Athletics & Club Sports

  • This weekend Slo-Pitch softball punched their ticket to state for the first time in team history. In the pouring rain, the team beat Ingraham 14-1 in a winner to state game and will be headed to Yakima this weekend. Congratulations to the team on their historic season!
  • There is a Boys Swim & Dive meeting after school in Mr. Moreans room (S101) next Mon, Oct. 27.
  • Oct 22: Gymnastics Info Mtg after school in the Team Room. Come meet the captains and learn about the team at an info meeting after school. No experience is needed. It’s a positive place where coaches will help you meet your own personal goals, and your teammates will support you. Beaver Gear and Spirit Wear Breakdown

  • Athletic Booster Club (ABC) has Beaver Gear and spirit wear (shorts, baseball tee, bleacher seats, plaid flannels, socks, scarf and hats) on the ABC website with Duffle Bags offered at different times of the school year. Refer to the Spirit Wear updates.
  • The DAM” BHS Student Store run by Advanced Marketing Students in the Activity Center (AC) has great spirit items (t-shirts, hoodies, sunglasses, etc.).
  • Performing Arts (BPA) spirit merchandise can be found on the BPA Website and offered at different times of the school year.
  • Athletics! Check with coaches about specific Athletics/Sports Merchandise
