  • Link Leaders: our FINAL meeting for the 2024-25 school year is in the library this Wed, March 26! See your email for more information!
  • Learn about becoming a dental hygienist! A Seattle Central College Dental Hygiene Instructor will be at BHS for a Q&A session this Wed, in P106 during 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th periods.  Come to network and find out how to get a great career in Dental Hygiene. This pathway can lead to becoming a dentist! Use the Seattle Promise and you could make $100,000 a year (more if you speak multiple languages) and you could have a 4-day work week!   • University of Washington for MisinfoDay Updated: A media literacy event focused on how to navigate complex information and make informed decisions about what to believe online was held on March 17, 2025. “Shawn Lee, Government and AP US History Teacher at Ballard HS has participated in past MisinfoDays and modified the MisinfoDay curriculum for his students in a media mentorship program at BHS in which the students trained their parents, grandparents, and neighbors about how to be more informed users of digital media. In return, adults taught students non-digital life skills such as how to sew on a button or tie a necktie.” Read complete article on the Post Alley
  • BRAVE (Ballard Representatives Advocating for Voices and Equity) meets on Tuesdays at 4 p.m. (Ms. Coe’s room). All are welcome. 
  • Attention BHS Parents/Guardians: The BHS Office Staff, Cal and Bethany, would love an extra pair of hands during peak hours.They could use some assistance with answering the doorbell, sorting mail etc. They will be present in the Office for support. Complete details are on the Sign Up FormThank You!
  • Counselors will hold one Final Running Start information session Wednesday at lunch in the Library Book room. If you plan to participate in Running Start next year, it is mandatory that you attend this information session to get the necessary paperwork.
  • Tickets are on sale Spring musical, Hadestown! Opens March 27 until April 6. Featuring student actors, technicians, and musicians, come see your friends and peers perform this beautiful show! Tickets are $10 for students and on sale or available for cash purchase at the door.
  • Are you interested in hearing from college admissions counselors from across the country and world?  Check out the spring college visits and sign up on Naviance. 

ASB Clubs

  • HOSA meeting today at lunch in NW200. Do you have what it takes to become a surgeon? Test out your fine motor skills with some friendly competition at today’s meeting. Everyone welcome.
  • Do you want to join ASB for the 2025-26 school year? ASB election packets will be distributed to ALL ELA classes and the main office next Monday, March 24. Pick up a packet then and all are welcome to join! 
  • The Ballard HS Feminist Alliance Union is starting a fundraiser to donate a goal of $5000 to Jubilee Women’s Center. Jubilee Women’s Center supports women escaping domestic abuse and experiencing poverty to build stable and fulfilling futures, one extraordinary woman at a time. No donation is too small, please consider donating with the QR Code that can be found on pink posters throughout the school! 
  • The Ballard High School Spring Blood Drive will take place on Friday, March 28! You must be at least 16 years old to donate, and donors under 18 years old who have never donated before need a permission slip. Save lives and sign up to donate in Ms. Faust’s room.
  • We offer a wide range of 70+ clubs & activities. 

Athletics & Club Sports

  • Congratulations to the BHS Dance Team! They competed at Districts over the weekend and qualified for the State Dance/Drill Championship. The team qualified in the Dance and Hip-Hop categories with their jazz routine, “Feelin’ Good,” and their hip-hop routine, “Super Bass.” The Dance Team will travel to State next week to compete on March 28 at the Yakima Sundome. Great job, Dance Team! and…Congratulations to Coach Bethany

Class of 2025

  • Seniors: Yearbook staff would like you to fill out a form about senior superlatives for the yearbook. QR codes to the form are posted in ELA and History classes. Submissions will close next Wednesday!
  • The Ballard High School Foundation Scholarships are now available online. Links to the Golden Beaver, Hughbanks, and Tim Nygard scholarships are available on the BHS website on the Counseling page, or you can pick up a paper copy in the Counseling Center.  The deadline to apply is Monday, April 21.  See your counselor with any questions.

Beaver Gear and Spirit Wear Breakdown

  • Athletic Booster Club (ABC) has Beaver Gear and spirit wear (shorts, baseball tee, bleacher seats, plaid flannels, socks, scarf and hats) on the ABC website with Duffle Bags offered at different times of the school year. Refer to the Spirit Wear updates.
  • The DAM” BHS Student Store run by Advanced Marketing Students in the Activity Center (AC) has great spirit items (t-shirts, hoodies, sunglasses, etc.).
  • Performing Arts (BPA) spirit merchandise can be found on the BPA Website and offered at different times of the school year.
  • Athletics! Check with coaches about specific Athletics/Sports Merchandise
