  • Attention all students: The Counseling Center will be closed for AP testing for two weeks starting Monday, 5/6 through Friday, 5/17. If you have scheduled an appointment with your counselor, or have an urgent need, you can enter through the next door, SE225. Counseling TAs will need to check in at the Main Office where attendance will be taken.
  • Please come to the Ballard Art Walk this Saturday May 11 from 3-6 p.m. Ballard Art students will have their work displayed at the BallardWorks located at 2856 NW Market Street and will feature Ceramics, Drawing and Painting, and Photography. All are welcome to come enjoy this Amazing work. Learn more!
  • Visit the Ballard High Plant Sale at the BHS Greenhouse on May 11, 9:30 – 1:30 p.m. We have Heirloom tomatoes varieties, unique vegetable varieties, houseplants, student-made hand balm and lip balm, succulent terrariums, plant-based jewelry, and many other items. All vegetable starts are organic, and all purchases go towards supporting the Ballard Greenhouse Program. Let’s grow together!  
  • Maui 2025: Ever want to snorkel in active reef? Climb a 10,000 ft hot spot volcano?  Ballard is going back to Maui in Feb 2025!  Applications available NOW from Mr. Noam Gundle for this unique educational experience.  Scholarships and service hours available. All due June 3. Mahalo!
  • May 9 – 11: Buy your tickets for the BHS Spring One Acts! Performances begin at 7:30 p.m. You will see 6 student-written and student-directed plays, along with 5 musical performances and a feature from BHS’s jazz combo! Tickets are only $5 for students, available online at showtix.com, or available for purchase at the door. Come support BHS student artists and musicians! We hope to see you there!
  • Now – May 15: Order your favorite coffees from Caffe Appassionato and support the BPA Fundraiser. Each bag sold, the BPA student you name will earn $6 toward program fees, camps and trips. Proceeds with no student name will go into the BPA general fund. Funds raised can even be transferred to a younger sibling when a student graduates. Learn More.

ASB Club Call Outs!

  • Please join us in celebrating our Ballard DECA competitors Violet Petersen and Kate Herndon who just returned from the DECA International Career Development Conference in Anaheim, CA. Violet and Kate competed in a 100-question Marketing Exam, 10-Page Promotional Plan Paper, and a 15-minute presentation to beat out 160 competitors and earn Top 10 in the World in the Integrated Marketing Campaign-Service Event. Congratulations, Violet and Kate! We are very proud of you!

Seniors!

  • Seniors, all pre-ordered caps and gowns are now available for pickup in the main office.
    • There is still time order (or go to Counseling/borrow one), get in time for graduation! Learn More.
  • This Year’s Prom theme is “Night Under the Lights!” The Prom will be held in the Columbia Tower from 8 – 11 on Saturday, June 1. Learn more and get ticket details on sale April 29.
  • Due Now: Seniors: Get your forms in! Turn in any PE Waiver Forms, Service Learning Forms
    • Take your PE comp test if needed so we have time to process them and so you stay on track for graduation. See your school counselor if you have any questions. The counselors have drop ins at lunch every day so swing on by.

Beaver Gear and Spirit Wear Breakdown

  • Athletic Booster Club (ABC) has Beaver Gear and spirit wear (shorts, baseball tee, bleacher seats, plaid flannels, socks, scarf and hats) on the ABC website with Duffle Bags offered at different times of the school year. Refer to the Spirit Wear updates.
  • “The DAM” BHS Student Store run by Advanced Marketing Students in the Activity Center (AC) has great spirit items (t-shirts, hoodies, sunglasses, etc.) Updates on Instagram: @thedambhsstudentstore
  • Performing Arts (BPA) spirit merchandise can be found on the BPA Website and offered at different times of the school year.
  • Athletics! Check with coaches about specific Athletics/Sports Merchandise
