Important Upcoming Dates
- This week, the DAM Student Store will open during both lunches! Stop by to pick up snacks, drinks, and merchandise. The DAM Student Store takes cash, credit, and debit cards and has something for everyone! We are located in the AC and have competitive prices on all the products you love. See you at lunch!
- Students, please make sure to check your email during the next two weeks. There will be no bells and no intercom announcements due to PSAT/SAT testing. We will share announcements via email – so please keep an eye out! Good luck to Juniors & Seniors taking the PSAT and SAT!
- A reminder that we are moving to our new 2-lunch bell schedule on Mon. Bells won’t be ringing, please reference the bell schedule posters in each classroom and the hallways. Ask your teachers or the office if you have any questions! The main office will have printouts of the new schedule if you would like to pick one up Monday morning.
- Remember that the Wed schedule will not change! Wednesdays will remain regular one-lunch days.
- Curriculum Night is Thur, October 9 and we have NO school on Friday October 10.
- Picture RETAKE day is Tues, Oct. 14, during lunch in the AC. This is for anyone who has already had their picture taken and would like it redone. Picture Days | Student ID Details.
Activities/Student Life

- The BPA Fall production of Clue runs October 17, 18, 24, and 25. The cast and crew have been working so hard to produce this awesome show. Come see your peers and a special staff guest every day!
- It is DECA Registration Season! Please register for DECA ASAP to ensure your spot in this year’s fun. The link to registration can be found on fliers around the school, Ballard DECA’s Instagram, and in the DECA and Marketing Class Schoology Pages. You must register by Thur, Oct. 9 to be counted in our official numbers for AREA allocations, so don’t delay! As always, scholarships are available for those who need.
- DECA meetings will be on Thursdays, both lunches, in the library. Stop by to get the latest information and to have a chance at fun prizes for members.
- Your Brawling Beavers are getting ready for the wrestling season! Come join our captains practices after school on Wednesdays, no experience required. Hope to see you there!
Seniors
- College visits are in the Counseling Center. To see who is coming, go to the Counseling page, or Naviance What’s New. Sign up for visits on Naviance as well. See the Counseling Center if you have any questions and meet the new Counseling Secretary; Ms. Tuitele.
- Seniors: Are you applying to WSU? Do you have at least a 3.8 GPA? If so, let your school counselor know to be considered for the WSU Regents Scholarship worth $4000/year for four years for a total of $16,000! WSU is looking for students with outstanding academic potential who have demonstrated leadership through contribution to community, family and/or school activities. If you are nominated as a Regents Scholar, you will then compete for the Distinguished Regents Scholars Award, which covers full tuition and fees for four years, approximately $42,000. Contact your school counselor by Mon, Oct. 27 to be considered for this scholarship.
ASB Clubs
- Freshmen Election packets are out! There are three Class Ambassador positions; if you are interested, check out the packets in your ELA or Science room and Ms. Lehni’s email for more information.
- HOSA meeting today for BOTH lunch A and lunch B in NW200 – the same meeting is run twice. In today’s meeting you will learn about all the different types of events.

Beaver Gear and Spirit Wear Breakdown
- Athletic Booster Club (ABC) has Beaver Gear and spirit wear (shorts, baseball tee, bleacher seats, plaid flannels, socks, scarf and hats) on the ABC website with Duffle Bags offered at different times of the school year. Refer to the Spirit Wear updates.
- “The DAM” BHS Student Store run by Advanced Marketing Students in the Activity Center (AC) has great spirit items (t-shirts, hoodies, sunglasses, etc.).
- Performing Arts (BPA) spirit merchandise can be found on the BPA Website and offered at different times of the school year.
- Athletics! Check with coaches about specific Athletics/Sports Merchandise
