Announcements
- Attention students! The newest edition of The Talisman, Ballard’s student-run newspaper, is available. Don’t miss your chance to grab a copy! This issue features campus news, student opinions, and coverage of topics that affect you—including a look at the recent student walk-out over the lunch schedule change. Keep an eye out in your classroom and stay informed with what’s happening at Ballard. Talisman Online too!
- Student ID Cards! Pick up in the Main Office.
- Make-Up Day picture ID cards are still coming and will be distributed once they arrive!
Activities/Student Life
- The counselors will host another College application help session next Wed, Nov. 5, 2:30-3:30 p.m. in the counseling center. Seniors, you can bring your laptop to get help with your college applications.
- The Fall Orchestra Concert is Thursday, Nov. 6, at 7:30 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center. Hope to see you there! They are also having a Food Drive.
- The DAM Student Store is open most days in the AC. Come by to get snacks, drinks, and Ballard Merch! We take Cash, Debit, and Credit.
- DECA Area Competition Forms are due this Wed, Nov. 5. Please turn into Ms. Jereczek’s room, N101, and they will be registered as we receive them. Turn it in ASAP for guaranteed spot in the event of your choice. Ms. Jereczek’s sub today can take your form. You must pick one from each category – Individual Role Play, Team Role-Play, and Prepared Events to ensure there is a slot. Additional forms in Ms. J’s room.
- Thursday will be a mandatory DECA meeting in the library. 20 Page paper registration forms will be coming out soon. You do not need to fill out the Area Competition form unless you are hoping to get a slot after the other competitors have registered. Papers are due in January for review to see if you qualify for State.
Seniors
- The counselors are hosting another College application help session on Wed, Nov. 5, 2:30-3:30 p.m. in the counseling center. Seniors can bring their laptop to get help with their college applications.
- College visits are in the Counseling Center. Visit the Counseling page, or Naviance.
ASB Clubs
- DECA meetings will be on Thursdays, both lunches, in the library. Stop by to get the latest information and to have a chance at fun prizes for members.

Athletics & Club Sports
- The boy’s wrestling team will have our preseason informational meeting after school, Thursday Nov. 6 in room SW103. Coach Jared and Coach Nick will be answering any questions you might have. If you have any interest at all, show up and ask your questions about the sport.
- Girls bowling sign-ups are open now!

Beaver Gear and Spirit Wear Breakdown
- Athletic Booster Club (ABC) has Beaver Gear and spirit wear (shorts, baseball tee, bleacher seats, plaid flannels, socks, scarf and hats) on the ABC website with Duffle Bags offered at different times of the school year.
- “The DAM” BHS Student Store run by Advanced Marketing Students in the Activity Center (AC) has great spirit items (t-shirts, hoodies, sunglasses, etc.).
- Performing Arts (BPA) spirit merchandise can be found on the BPA Website and offered at different times of the school year.
- Athletics! Check with coaches about specific Athletics/Sports Merchandise
