The Counseling Center will be closed next Tuesday, May 6 through Wednesday, May 7.  If you need to see a counselor, please enter through SE225. Appointments only, or drop ins at lunch.

Activities & School News

May the Fourth Be With You Monday (May 5) in the BHS Library! We’re going all out with Star Wars-themed books, Mad Libs, crossword puzzles and more—costumes are encouraged! Whether you’re a Jedi, Sith, or just here for the Wookies, there will be something for everyone. Not a fan of what Disney’s done to Star Wars lately? Come talk about it with fellow fans and join the fun in a galaxy not so far away! ~ BHS Library Student Leaders

  • DECA officer interviews are next week. Please choose a time in the email that was sent to you. If you attended State DECA and have not picked up your State t-shirts, please pick up in N101!
  • The Counseling Center is hosting a clothing drive for Prom attire. Please bring your clean, gently used semi-formal attire to the Counseling Center and we need hangers too! All students are welcome to come shop the rack before school, after school, or at lunch.  Please see Ms. Bristol if you have any questions.
  • The Plant and Garden Craft Sale is coming up! Visit the BHS greenhouse on Friday, May 9 after school until 5:45 p.m., and Saturday, May 10 from 9:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m.
  • Please remember that students are not allowed to park in the school parking lot or in the Pool parking spots. Student cars parked in the lot will receive a sticker on their car.
  • Check out Ballard HS student art at the Naramore Art Show (Virtual & at the SAM until June 1). There will be a ceremony on May 9 from 6–7 p.m. at the Seattle Art Museum before the Teen Night Out. Admission to this area is free.
  • Pick up or read on line the April Student Newspaper The Talisman.
  • Attention all 10th and 11th Graders! Link Crew applications are open until May 9Link Crew is a fantastic way to give back to your community, and we welcome all applicants with open arms. Be involved! This commitment means that you will help welcome new-to-Ballard students and fostering a strong bond between our current and new community members. This is also a great way to earn Service-Learning Hours!
  • Caffè Appassionato Coffee Sales Benefit Performing Arts Order your favorite coffees from Caffè Appassionato by May 6 and support BPA. Name a BPA student to support program fees or with no student name proceeds go directly to the BPA general fund.

ASB Clubs & Link Crew

  • If you are still interested in being in ASB for the 2025-26 school year, there’s still time! All appointed position materials are due this MONDAY, May 5, and interviews will happen over the following 2 weeks. Please check your email for important updates from Ms. Lehni.
  • Link Crew Applications are STILL OPEN through Friday May 9. We are looking for current 10th and 11th grade students to help us build the dam!
  • Ballard HS offers a wide range of 70+ clubs & activities.

Seniors Class of 2025

  • Senior Prom tickets are on sale on SchoolPay. Get your tickets now before prices rise. The last day to buy tickets will be May 23!
    • Prom Guest Forms are due on May 22 and are available in the main office. Please plan ahead to get your guest approved in time! 
  • Senior Yard Sign Fundraiser Update: Signs are in production and will be shipping soon. We will email all purchasers with pickup instructions/address once the signs are received. Please double check the email you used at purchase by searching for “contact@zeffy.com.”  This is where the instructions email will be sent. Thank you for supporting Ballard Performing Arts and congratulations, seniors!
  • Pre-Ordered Cap and Gowns are in the Main Office.
  • Make sure to check your name on the windows outside of the main office. This is your chance to make any edits to how your name will appear on the graduation program and on your diploma!

Beaver Gear and Spirit Wear Breakdown

  • Athletic Booster Club (ABC) has Beaver Gear and spirit wear (shorts, baseball tee, bleacher seats, plaid flannels, socks, scarf and hats) on the ABC website with Duffle Bags offered at different times of the school year. Refer to the Spirit Wear updates.
  • The DAM” BHS Student Store run by Advanced Marketing Students in the Activity Center (AC) has great spirit items (t-shirts, hoodies, sunglasses, etc.).
  • Performing Arts (BPA) spirit merchandise can be found on the BPA Website and offered at different times of the school year.
  • Athletics! Check with coaches about specific Athletics/Sports Merchandise
