Fall PTSA Board & General Meeting

PTSA General Meeting Oct. 16 From 7 – 8 p.m.

Did you know… When surveyed last fall 74% of Ballard students responded that they would talk to a parent or caregiver if they were experiencing serious emotional challenges? Parents and caregivers are often the first line of support when students are struggling with their mental health and we want you to have the tools  you need to handle this. As a member of the Ballard community, it’s crucial that you know what to look for, how to intervene, and where to turn for information and resources to keep our students safe and supported.

This PTSA event is offered as part of the JED suicide prevention program at Ballard High School. Developed by Forefront Suicide Prevention at the University of Washington, you will learn a five-step process to help you talk with someone you’re worried about, learn if they are considering suicide and take early steps to keep them safe.
