Announcements
- If you plan to take an AP test in the spring, make sure to complete your registration and payment by 5:00 p.m. PT TODAY!
- Attention students! The newest edition of The Talisman, Ballard’s student-run newspaper, will be distributed Friday during 5th period. It only comes out about once a month, so don’t miss your chance to grab a copy! This issue features campus news, student opinions, and coverage of topics that affect you—including a look at the recent student walk-out over the lunch schedule change. Keep an eye out in your classroom and stay informed with what’s happening at Ballard. Talisman Online too!
- Student ID Cards! Pick up in the Main Office.
- Make-Up Day picture ID cards are still coming and will be distributed once they arrive!
Activities/Student Life
- The counselors will host another College application help session next Wed, Nov. 5, 2:30-3:30 p.m. in the counseling center. Seniors, you can bring your laptop to get help with your college applications.
- The DAM Student Store is open most days in the AC. Come by to get snacks, drinks, and Ballard Merch! We take Cash, Debit, and Credit.
- DECA Area Competition Sign-Up Forms are Available in Ms. Jereczek’s Room- N101 and Mr. Blazevic’s Room- N108. The form is to select the specific competition event you would like to participate in at Area DECA Competition on January 8. This is not for the Straight to State 20 Page Papers. These are first-come, first-served for slots, and if you have a partner, they also need to have their paperwork and DECA membership fees paid or have made arrangements with Ms. Jereczek.
Seniors
- The counselors are hosting another College application help session on Wed, Nov. 5, 2:30-3:30 p.m. in the counseling center. Seniors can bring their laptop to get help with their college applications.
- College visits are in the Counseling Center. Visit the Counseling page, or Naviance.
ASB Clubs
- DECA meetings will be on Thursdays, both lunches, in the library. Stop by to get the latest information and to have a chance at fun prizes for members.

Athletics & Club Sports
- The girls wrestling team will have our preseason informational meeting after school, this coming Tuesday Nov. 4 in SW103. Coach Jared and coach Nick will be answering any questions you may have. Whether you want to join the team, are thinking about it, or just want to know more about it, show up and ask questions!
- The boy’s wrestling team will have our preseason informational meeting after school, Thursday Nov. 6 in room SW103. Coach Jared and Coach Nick will be answering any questions you might have. If you have any interest at all, show up and ask your questions about the sport.
- Girls bowling sign-ups are open now! First practice will be November 3.
- Congratulations to both the varsity boys’ and girls’ cross-country teams for qualifying for Districts! Come cheer on your Ballard Beavers this Friday at Lake Sammamish State Park as they compete against over 25 schools in a high-stakes showdown.
- A special shoutout to sophomore Ciana Johnson, who claimed the title of 2025 3A Women’s Varsity Metro Champion with an incredible first-place time of 18:12.7! And another big congratulations to junior Andrade Whissell-Côté, who raced to a strong 14th-place finish in the Men’s 3A Varsity division with a time of 16:49.5.
- A big congratulations to the BHS Boys Golf team for advancing beyond Metros to the SeaKing Tourney next Monday. Ballard Golfer Lucas Williams took home 1st place in the 3A Metro Tourney as an individual.
- Ballard Girls Golfers Elsa Sand, Grace Shiotani, and Ruby Wallblom also advance to the SeaKing Tourney to be held in May. If you see one of these Ballard Golfers, tell them congrats

Beaver Gear and Spirit Wear Breakdown
- Athletic Booster Club (ABC) has Beaver Gear and spirit wear (shorts, baseball tee, bleacher seats, plaid flannels, socks, scarf and hats) on the ABC website with Duffle Bags offered at different times of the school year.
- “The DAM” BHS Student Store run by Advanced Marketing Students in the Activity Center (AC) has great spirit items (t-shirts, hoodies, sunglasses, etc.).
- Performing Arts (BPA) spirit merchandise can be found on the BPA Website and offered at different times of the school year.
- Athletics! Check with coaches about specific Athletics/Sports Merchandise
