Students & Families
- Are you interested in joining Ballard’s incredible choir program? Choir placements for next year’s choirs will happen in the spring, but if you are interested, sign up now when you fill out your schedule request form! No experience necessary; a love of music is all you need. Find out more by watching this video put together by current and former choir students. We’d love to welcome you into the choir community! Email Ms. Ingerson (tvingerson@seattleschools.org) or ask a current choir student if you have any additional questions.
- If you are not currently enrolled in a music ensemble class, there are still many great opportunities to take a music class! Are you interested in what makes music work, and would love to delve more deeply into theory and composition? Consider AP Music Theory! Do you want to learn piano or guitar? We offer classes in both! Sign up on your schedule request form, or stop by the Music Office (NE 221 inside of the band room) to chat and learn more.

- January 2026 | Dear Ballard High School Families, This email is to inform you that due to a transition in the service provider of the Ballard High School Teen Health Center, there will unfortunately be a temporary interruption of clinic services from January 29 through April 20, 2026.
- We want to share this information with you so that you can plan accordingly. Between now and January 20, 2026 students are encouraged to come to the Ballard HS Teen Health Center to receive their necessary care, such as sports physicals, medication refills, general care appointments, and required vaccines. The Teen Health Center also has COVID vaccines available, so please schedule an appointment soon if you would like to receive that vaccine. Read more on the email sent from Principal Hunt.
- First semester is almost over! January 13 is the first deadline for all second-quarter assignments given prior to this date. All assignments given between January 13 and January 23 are due on January 23.

Seniors
- Are you a high school student passionate about service and interested in a paid summer internship at a nonprofit organization? Teens in Public Service (TIPS) places high school interns at a variety of nonprofits – museums, food banks, nature preserves, and more. Apply today for the TIPS Summer 2026 program at teensinpublicservice.org. The application is due March 3.
- Are you considering applying to the University of Victoria as an international student? See your school counselor by Fri, Feb. 13 to be considered for a scholarship valued up to $20,000 CAD. We can nominate three students for this extraordinary scholarship. One of them could be YOU!
- Cap & Gown Orders Due (and other graduation gear, like tassels and stoles)! Physical order packets are available in the main office and the order link is on the BHS website. The counseling center has caps and gowns available to loan out, but does not have tassels or stoles.
- The Class of 2026 graduation dates have been published! Ballard HS graduation will be on June 15, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. at McCaw Hall.
ASB Clubs
- The Disability Student Union meets Wednesdays after school in S206. Come join us!
- Do you love the outdoors? Do you wish you could get hands-on CTE credit and national recognition for learning about nature? Then Join Envirothon! Team Meetings on Wednesdays at lunch. Come to room SW215 with Ms. Maykut.

Athletics & Club Sports
- The BHS Dance Team will go to their 2nd competition of the season tomorrow at Lakes High School in Lakewood. The team will be competing in the Dance, Hip Hop, and Pom categories, and the event begins at 12:00 noon. Please help us to cheer on our Ballard Dancers! Good Luck, Dance Team!
- Beaver Swimmers take on West Seattle at SW Pool this Friday. Go Beavs!

Support for Families in Need ResourcesBeaver Gear and Spirit Wear Breakdown
- Athletic Booster Club (ABC) has Beaver Gear and spirit wear (shorts, baseball tee, bleacher seats, plaid flannels, socks, scarf and hats) on the ABC website with Duffle Bags offered at different times of the school year.
- “The DAM” BHS Student Store run by Advanced Marketing Students in the Activity Center (AC) has great spirit items (t-shirts, hoodies, sunglasses, etc.).
- Performing Arts (BPA) spirit merchandise can be found on the BPA Website and offered at different times of the school year.
- Athletics! Check with coaches about specific Athletics/Sports Merchandise
