Shoutout to Viking Robotics, Ballard’s FRC Team 2928! Last weekend (March 6-8), the team competed in their first event of the season at Bonney Lake, and despite some early technical challenges, they seeded 11th out of 34 teams in qualifications and became the captains of Alliance 7.

An incredible showing, and there’s every reason to be excited about what’s ahead.

Their next event is March 20-21 at Sammamish High School, and it’s free and open to the public. If you’ve never been to an FRC competition, think of it like a sporting event: cheering crowds, team mascots, live announcers, and high-stakes robot matches. It’s a great time. We’d love to see Ballard families out there cheering the Vikings on!
