Senior Portraits Requirements For Families Submitting a Photo

Ballard Seniors have the option to submit their own photo for the yearbook. If a different photo is not submitted, the School ID photo taken at the beginning of the school year will be used.

General Photo Requirements

Senior Photo Headshot example.
  • No props, other people, pets, etc. Only fully clothed student in the picture.
  • Photos should be a vertical (portrait), head and shoulders, not full body.
  • Images need to be high-quality jpg files.
    • Dimensions should not be lower than 900 x 600 pixels at 300 ppi
  • Color photos only
  • Any background is acceptable except solid black or solid white.
  • No creative filters or photographic treatments

Instructions: Submitting Senior Portrait on Yearbook Walsworth Website

  1. Visit Walsworth YearbookForever.com and search for Ballard High School
  2. Enter the code: gobeavs (case sensitive) & select your images
  3. Upload Image
  4. Check “this photo is a portrait box”, and enter your information, select SAVE
  5. You’ll receive a confirmation email once complete

Instructions: Submitting on Walsworth Snap App

  1. Download Walsworth Yearbook SNAP! Google Play / Apple Store
  2. Search for Ballard High School & Enter: gobeavs (case sensitive)
  3. Select ‘Portraits’ (for Senior Portraits)
  4. Upload Image, Click on the Image
  5. Enter the name and grade of student
  6. Enter your info and submit
  7. You’ll receive a confirmation email once complete

To Note!

Students! Grades 9 – 12! New this year you can “select” a photo from photos taken on Picture Day at the beginning of the year for the yearbook (this is not the same as Senior Portraits that are uploaded (to Walsworth by Dec. 1) to use instead of a Picture Day photo). Please select which school photo you would like to have included in the yearbook from the ones taken on Photo Day at Ballard HS.

The deadline to do this is by Friday, Nov. 8! You can make this selection in your school photo by entering your access code from picture day on the Rowland Studio site and selecting the blue button to ‘Change Favorite Photo’. Don’t have your access code? Use the Rowland Studio Look Up Feature.

Grad Ads are an opportunity for families to submit photos and a personal message for graduating seniors to be printed in the Shingle Ballard HS Yearbook. The Ads include photos of your choice and a personalized message of your choice for your graduating student. Order a beautiful Grad Ad to congratulate your student’s accomplishments!

Grad Ads are Online with Walsworth

  1. Visit YearbookForever.com and search for Ballard High School
  2. Select “Get Started” on the Create an Ad section
  3. Enter the information for your student
  4. Choose your Grad Ad size and cost (full, half, quarter and eighth page)
  5. Enter the text for your Grad Ad & Upload your photo, choose ‘certify ads and photos’
  6. Checkout and Pay for your Grad Ad (paypal or credit card option) then submit
  7. The school will design your ad for you

Ballard HS Yearbook | The Shingle Sale Windows

Yearbook sales dates are established in accordance with state tax policies. No yearbook sales between Spring Break (April) and Beaver Day (June) TBD. Pre-Sold yearbooks will be distributed at a Senior Dinner, and Beaver Day. Yearbook sales resume following Beaver Day and continue until books are sold out.

  • 9/6/24 – 9/30/24: $60.00 CLOSED
  • 1/6/25 – 1/27/25: $65.00
  • 3/30/25 – 4/28/25 (excluding Spring Break): $70.00

Note: After April 28, students can no longer pre-order a yearbook, and can only then buy a book after June 7 distribution, if any books remain.

Yearbooks can be purchased online via parents/guardians Source/School Pay account. Yearbooks will also be sold in Main Office at lunch and after school with cash, check or Debit/Credit Card.

SchoolPay Tips to See if You Pre-Purchased a Yearbook!

  • Logon to the Parent Source/SchoolPay
  • Verify you are on the correct student account
  • If the Yearbook option is not displayed on SchoolPay check the payment history to see if already purchased
    • Open the History menu in the upper right portion of your screen
    • Select Items Purchased.  SchoolPay will provide a search menu
    • Select the date range and student, and click the Search button
