Ballard Teen Health Center (BTHC)
BTHC & Neighborcare Health Announcement!
- There will be a Neighborcare Health soft-launch opening on April 20, 2026 to help support and complete student Registration Paperwork. Parents and students can fill out registration forms in advance to prepare to receive services (must also be completed at the beginning of each school year).
- The Registration Forms can be found online or in the BTHC office. Confidential registration can be completed by students seeking confidential mental health or reproductive services. We do accept various forms of insurance including Apple Health, but we will never charge students for our services regardless of insurance coverage.
Registration with Neighborcare Health
To use services at the health center when it opens, students must register with Neighborcare Health Health, even if they previously received are at the clinic. Parents/guardians can register their students, or students 18 and older can register themselves, by completing the Neighborcare Health at Ballard High School Registration Packet in DocuSign. Students can use any of the services after a parent or guardian completes and signs the registration forms for the school-based health center. Under state law, youth may independently access some health care without parental consent, including reproductive health and mental health services. Learn more about Washington state minor consent laws. Registration forms are also now available at the Ballard HS Teen Health Center.
Hours of Operation
We offer weekday appointments before, during and after school during the school year. We are closed when school is not in session, including holidays and summer break. The clinic hours are from 8:00 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. Appointments are generally between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. but some exceptions can sometimes be made ahead of time.

Students can make appointments by first filling out a Registration Packet and then coming into the office and scheduling. The scheduling can also be done via phone; 206-548-3177 or text; 206-593-1443.
Registration can be done confidentially without parental consent for reproductive and mental health services. Physical services require parental consent unless the student is 18.
