Paying for Student Meals

This year, SPS has launched MySchoolBucks, an online platform that will allow families to pay for school meals. Meals can be paid for with a credit card online at MySchoolBucks and requires the Student’s ID number to create an account. The Student ID number can be found on The Source. MySchoolBucks charges users a $2.75 fee for credit/debit card meal payments and $2.49 for electronic check meal payments for a maximum payment limit of $200. To avoid the transaction fee families can pay cash or write a check to Culinary Services include your student’s name and ID and give to the Kitchen Manager in the Ballard HS Lunchroom. Refer to the district School Meal Changes.

Please note: Any funds remaining on a student’s meal account from the 23-24 School Year on PayPams will be automatically transferred over to the new system.

New Cafeteria Keypad Number Meals

When “checking out” in the cafeteria line, students will now use a meal card or their meal account ID number instead of the code that was used last year.

Online School Menus

Additionally, we are excited to introduce MealViewer, an online platform that provides families with access to school menus and nutritional information. With MealViewer, you can stay informed about the delicious and nutritious options available to your student each day.

Free Student Meals Application

Introducing MySchoolApps, an online application where families can easily complete the new school meals application for free and reduced meals. The School Meals application — also known as the Child Nutrition Eligibility and Education Benefit (CNEEB) application — combines the Free and Reduced Meal Application and the Family Income Survey into one universal form. This new platform will streamline the application process and ensure that all eligible students receive the nutritional support they need. For students to receive free school meals, families must complete the school meals application every school year. Breakfast and lunch will be served at no cost to those students who qualify for free or reduced-price meals. Those who qualify may also be eligible to receive reduced fees for more school programs.

Please visit the culinary services website for more information. If you have any questions, please contact SPS Culinary Services.
