Announcements
- Try out for Ballard Girls Lacrosse! This NO-CUT sport fosters a fun environment where there is no experience necessary to be on the team. Registration is open NOW and you can find the link in the @Ballardgirlslacrosse Instagram or USA lacrosse website. The season starts on February 24 and if you have any questions, show up to weights after school on Mondays and Wednesdays where the coach will be there to answer! See you there!!
- Congratulations to our Girls Gymnastics team for an undefeated regular season! On Friday, the team had a full sweep and are now headed to Metros this Friday at 6:15. Good luck!
- Claire S. placed 1st all around, 2nd on vault, 1st on bars, and 1st on floor.
- Mari P. placed 2nd all around, tied for 2nd on bars, placed 1st on beam, and 3rd on floor.
- Caitlyn A. placed 3rd all around, 3rd on vault, 3rd on beam, and 2nd on floor.
- Dylan K. placed 1st on vault,
- Brooke A. tied for 2nd on bars, and
- Vivi C. placed 2nd on beam.
- Running of the Beavers! Early Registration Discount available through Jan. 31 for the March 22 Running of the Beavers 5K Fun Run and Walk at Golden Gardens.
- BHS staff members can register for a flat rate of $20 using the discount code in office.
- Food Bank Donations welcome: Donations may be brought to bib pickup (typically Friday afternoon at School Day before the event) and at race day.
- April 30 Trivia Night Tickets On Sale!

- Many thanks to the energetic sell-out crowd of Beaver boosters who attended the ABC Winter Trivia Night fundraiser and special thanks to Trivia Hosts, Kelly Jones and Cindy Peterson, and event coordinators Senta Howren and Deborah Frieze. A round of applause for the awesome Coaches’ Table players, including Athletic Director Eric Ensign, with Coaches Nick Thornton-Jack (Cheer, Baseball); Brandi Mattila (Cheer); Jared Daniels (Wrestling); and Malik Prince, Ian Essig, and Michael Morgan (Football). Thanks to the ABC Beaver Gear team, student and ABC volunteers, and our raffle donors, Fringe Hair Salon, Lisa Vanderford-Anderson Photography, Annie’s Art & Frame, and the Ballard High School Foundation. Girls Lacrosse

Boys Lacrosse
Registration is OPEN for Boys Lacrosse! Captains practices and conditioning are happening now with coach’s practices set to being 3/3, with games through May. Unified Basketball
A huge thank you to those who were able to make it to campus yesterday. Jam the Dam was such a fun event and the Unified student-athletes played a fantastic game in front of an impressive crowd of friends and family members from our school community. Thank you to our Unified student-athletes, our Band, Cheer Team, Dance Team, and to all who were able to attend! And to add to the amazing day, the Choir (joined by the Orchestra) performed their winter concert to a packed performing arts center. I am constantly in awe of our students and their connection and contributions to the Ballard HS community. Truly amazing. ~ Principal Hunt
