Winter Athletics Parents and Guardians mark your calendars for the Winter Sports Night at 6:30 p.m. Monday, November 25 in the BHS Gym! Check out the Beaver Gear on sale too!
- Learn more about this season’s athletic programs and participation requirements from Athletic Director Eric Ensign
- Meet Athletic Trainer Loka Murphy and Strength & Conditioning Coach Colin Matthiesen
- Hear an update from the Athletic Booster Club, followed by breakout sessions for individual teams led by coaches. We will also have a drawing for a few BHS giveaways!

Swim
- Tryouts 5 Days:
- November 18 thru Fri Nov 22 – REQUIRED 5 days attendance: Swim and Dive Tryouts: 6:40 a.m. – 8:15 a.m. Bring suit, goggle, towel and water bottle.
- Need to: Pass basic water safety test, swim continuous 50 yards without stopping or going vertical, treading water for 90 seconds unassisted. No previous competitive swim experience required.
Dive
- Tryouts 3 Days:
- November 18 from 7:00 p.m. – 8:15 p.m. at Rainier Beach
- November 20 from 7:30 p.m. – 8:45 p.m. at Queen Anne
- November 23 from 4 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. at Helene Madison

For those interested or thinking about wrestling this year, BOYS wrestling will have a team meeting next Wed, Nov. 6 right after school in N106. This will be your best opportunity to get necessary info and ask questions before the season starts on Nov. 18.

Dance Winter Showcase Dec. 7
One of Ballard’s Dance Team’s biggest events is an afternoon of original dance performances at the annual Ballard Dance Winter Showcase. This is a truly special evening where dance team members perform original pieces choreographed by team members and coaches including guest performances from others in the dance community.
You’re invited to join us for this year’s event on Saturday, December 7 at 2:30 p.m., in Ballard’s Performing Arts Center. The link to purchase tickets will be available soon on the team’s website.
