ABC Athletic Events At A Glance
- Don’t Miss! Purchase tickets for ABC Trivia Night Mark your calendars for Trivia Night, Feb. 5 at Ballard Elks.
- Join the fun at the Ballard Elks for the Athletic Booster Club’s Trivia Night on ! Build your team of six (students too) through Dec. 31 for an “Early Beaver” rate of $120, or $20/per player.* Your registration fee is a tax-deductible donation to the ABC to further our mission to support quality athletics at BHS. The coaches’ team always comes to play too! Don’t have a trivia team yet but still want to join the fun? We’ll find you a group to play with! Doors open at 6 p.m., first trivia round is at 7 p.m. Register through February 3 and we’ll see you at the Elks!

Boys Swim and Dive
A new goal this season is growing and stitching together Ballard Swimming programs and our alumni/community! Our Coach Staff would like to host our first (in a very long time) jamboree style Alumni meet for both current Beaver swimmers and Alum. Saturday January 4 – 1 – 4 p.m. at the Ballard Pool. Mostly sprint 50 and 100s, 100IM! and fun mixed relays and a chance to connect and grow the Dam Fast community!
We are excited for this opportunity to connect and also to show off the new Swim & Dive Record board especially to Alumni!

Return of the Seahawk Tournament: Ballard HS came in 3rd place out of 52 teams, with 32 wrestlers participating. Team Captains Miles P. (157) & Hayden W. (165 ) both WON their brackets. Garrett M. (138) and Jona S. (144) both came in top 6 in their brackets, along with Elsa P. (120) and Lucy R. (135) coming in top 6 as well.

Club Information
Ballard Mixed Ultimate Frisbee
The Mixed Ultimate Frisbee season kicks off view the Varsity (Schedule) Their second game is at 3 p.m. Saturday Dec. 14 at Magnuson Park’s Mickey Merriam Field 6. BUF JV will face Nathan Hale’s JV squad on the Field 6 East, while Varsity will take on Hale’s Varsity team on Field 6 West. On Sunday, Dec. 21, Ballard JV will face Northwest 1 p.m. at Jefferson Playfield West.

Unified Basketball
A huge thank you to those who were able to make it to campus yesterday. Jam the Dam was such a fun event and the Unified student-athletes played a fantastic game in front of an impressive crowd of friends and family members from our school community. Thank you to our Unified student-athletes, our Band, Cheer Team, Dance Team, and to all who were able to attend! And to add to the amazing day, the Choir (joined by the Orchestra) performed their winter concert to a packed performing arts center. I am constantly in awe of our students and their connection and contributions to the Ballard HS community. Truly amazing. ~ Principal Hunt
