Important AP Exam Information –
For Students & Families 2025
Students must have pre-registered in Nov. 2024 in order to take an AP Exam(s) at Ballard HS. Sign in to myap.collegeboard.org to confirm your AP registration status.
Please DO Bring
- Seattle Public Schools-issued, fully-charged laptop w/ Bluebook app installed if taking Digital or Hybrid exam
- Student ID or government-issued ID
- Two #2 pencils with erasers and a black or dark blue pen
- A scientific or graphing calculator: Refer to AP Calculator Policy
- Water in a clear bottle, a snack in a clear bag
- Wear layered clothing
DO NOT Bring or Wear
- Your Cell Phone and/or Apple Watch
- Hats of any kind
Arrival
- Please arrive at 7:30 a.m. for morning exam check-in, or at 12:00 p.m. for afternoon exams.
- Students arriving after the start of the exam will forfeit their exam. No refunds or make-up exams will be offered.
Dismissal
- Students cannot be dismissed early.
- Most 8:00 a.m. exams should end between 11:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. After the test, students are expected to attend their afternoon classes.
- Most 12:30 p.m. exams should end between 4:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m and students are expected to attend their morning classes.
- Afternoon tests may require students to miss afternoon athletics and activities. Please plan accordingly.
Parents/Guardians Note
Students will automatically be excused for the 4-hour window of their actual test. Parents/guardians do NOT need to call in absences for AP testing.
