Summer Opportunities

Ballard HS previously offering credit retrieval courses (free of charge) in LA, SS, Math and Biology for Ballard students with Ballard teachers. The courses were fully remote and the schedule was flexible based on the needs. Students should reach out to their counselor for more updated information for this year.

SPS Summer of Learning

The Seattle Public School’s Summer of Learning typically runs in July offer sprogramming for all grades to help students stay engaged, brush up on content from this past year, or receive personalized support. Refer to the district Summer Learning page for updates and current information.

Summer Schedule 2024

The summer application will be opening in between mid March and early April. Fill out our Summer Interest Form to be the first to know when our application opens up. View past summer classes below!

Class Schedule

Our standard class schedule for summer will be 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, July 9, 2024 through July 30, 2024, with 1 hour and 45 minutes of remote work each day from 8:00-9:45.  Exceptions to specific classes will be noted below once our summer schedule is finalized. There will be no fully remote Skills Center options this summer.

Priority registration will be given to students in 11th grade who are in need of CTE credit for graduation for the first several days that the application is open.

All-City Band

Seattle All-City Band

Established in 1951 by Seattle Public Schools, All-City Band has a reputation for excellence in music education, student leadership, and entertainment. The band brings together students from schools throughout the greater Seattle area to entertain in upwards of 20 parades and community celebrations each summer.

SPS Summer Music

Summer Music at Seattle Public Schools

Summer Music typically takes place July 10 through July 21. Classes will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The Summer Music Program is a way for students to continue their music learning during the summer months. The program is designed for students entering grades 5-9 (fourth grade completed). Students must have completed at least one year of instrumental instruction. Operation of Summer Music is contingent upon sufficient enrollment.
