- Remember, students will not be allowed on the bus if we have not received the signed permission and medical release forms.
- We will be traveling on five chartered buses. Students will have an opportunity to choose their bus, during multiple lunches in May. Any students who don’t stop by the bus sign-up tables will automatically be assigned a bus. As students check into their bus, they will receive a colored wristband that coordinates with the bus they are traveling on. The bus the student departs on will be the same bus that brings them back to the high school the following morning.
- All seniors will undergo a required personal search prior to boarding the buses.
- Buses are planned to depart within 45 minutes of the graduation ceremony’s completion.
- Students are not allowed to leave the event at any time. If they are sent home for any reason, the parent/guardian will be called to come pick them up at the event—not a friend, sibling, etc.
- Grads will return to the BHS Staff Parking Lot at approximately 5:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 14. 2025. Students will be tired from being awake all night. An adult must pick the SPREE participant up.
For the Safety of All, The Rules of Conduct For the Night Are:
- This is a Drug and Alcohol-Free Event. If, at any time during the event, there is any suspicion that you are under the influence of, or in the possession of, drugs or alcohol, you will be required to submit to an additional search. If you are found in violation, your parents will be required to immediately come and pick you up.
- Be respectful of classmates, chaperones, personnel, and property. If you damage or deface any property, you and your parents/guardians will be responsible for payment of the damages.
- Avoid the use of inappropriate or abusive language.
- Students will not be allowed to leave the party early unless this is prearranged with written permission from a parent or guardian.

History of BHS Senior SPREE & FAQ
Senior SPREE has been a Ballard High School tradition for over 30 years! The Ballard High School Graduation Party Committee looks forward to a fun, safe, and substance-free all night celebration immediately following the graduation ceremony.
What is the Graduation Party: The Ballard High School Graduation Party is an opportunity for all seniors to participate in a special evening of celebration, fun and memories.
This celebration is not a school-sponsored event, but has been planned and organized by a PTSA Parent Volunteer committee of the Ballard High School. The celebration is designed to provide the Ballard High School Senior Class with an avenue for celebrating their successful educational achievement with their classmates in a safe and secure environment.
Who Can Participate: The Graduation Night Celebration is open only to Ballard HS seniors who have pre-purchased a ticket prior to graduation. Attendees will be checked in to their bus. During this process, BHS parent chaperones will ensure your student’s name is on our attendee list, provide them with a wrist band that lets them into the venues and perform a security pat down to ensure students are ready for a safe, fun, substance-free night.
The SPREE Ticket: The ticket covers party buses, food all night long, entertainment, activities, and two event venues. The actual cost for this unique event is quite a bit higher per ticket sales, our BHS PTSA fundraising has helped to reduce this ticket price and creates scholarships as well for seniors who could use the support in order to attend.
When Does it Take Place: Chartered buses will leave after the Graduation Ceremony. Families will have an opportunity to meet their graduate, then SPREE attendees need to go to the bus loading zone. The buses will take students to secret venues throughout the night, with a return around 5:30 a.m. on the the next morning.
Scholarships: The PTSA is committed to ensuring that financial ability does not limit participation. Scholarships are available for Senior SPREE. Please contact your school counselor and let them know you need a scholarship to attend SPREE.
Important! Required Forms: Graduates must print and fill out the Senior Release Form (link posted soon) and the Emergency Care Plan (if applicable-link posted soon) and bring them to the BHS office upon buying a ticket. Graduates will not be allowed to attend SPREE if these forms are not on file.
Capacity: SPREE takes place at two professional event venues. Each of these is capacity constrained. Once we reach capacity limits, ticket sales will close.
