Academic Deadlines 2024-25

Wed, September 4: First day of school for 9th – 12th grade students. Sept. 4 is not an early release Wednesday. Early release will occur every Wednesday except for the first week of school.
Tue, Sept 17 (10th day of Semester): Last day for students to request to drop a class. Class options are limited. Classes dropped after this date and the end of the 5th week will result in a “W” on a student’s transcripts
Fri, October 4 (end of 5th week): Last day for students to request a Pass/No Pass grade or contract course. (Form available in Counseling Office). Only one P/N or contract class allowed per semester. After the 5th week of the semester, Administrative approval is required to drop a class, and and “E” grade will be posted on the student’s transcript for the dropped class.
Fri, October 11: State In-service Day (no school for students) – Last day for teacher to turn in grade changes including completion of “I” grades from last semester.
November 6: End of First Quarter
November 11: Veterans Day Observed (no school)
November 28-29: Thanksgiving and Native American Heritage Day (no school)
December 20: 1-hour early dismissal
December 23 – January 3, 2025: Winter break (no school)
January 20: Martin Luther King Jr. Day (no school)
January 24, 27 & 28: First Semester Finals

Thu, January 29: First day of Second semester
Wed, February 12 (10th day of semester): last day for students to request to drop a class. Class options are limited.
February 17-21: Mid-winter break, including Presidents Day (no school)
Friday, March 7 (end of 5th week): Last day for students to request a Pass/No Pass grade or contract course. (Form available in Counseling Office). June 4: Senior Dinner & Awards Night
June 9: Senior Finals (Periods 1, 3, 5)

- Regular Bell Schedule
June 11: Senior Finals Make-Up
June 12: Check-Out, Laptop Check-In, Last Day for Seniors
June 13: Mandatory Graduation Rehearsal | Ballard HS at 9:30 a.m
June 13: Graduation Ceremony | Memorial Stadium at 8 p.m.
TBD June: Grades 9 – 11 Finals Schedule

June 18: Last day of school (1-hour early dismissal).
June 19: Juneteenth Holiday (no school when school is in session)

June 20-24: Potential emergency closure makeup days.
