Academic Deadlines

Wed, September 6: First day of school for 9th-12th grade students. Sept. 6 is not an early release Wednesday. Early release will occur every Wednesday except for the first week of school.
Tue, Sept 19 (10th day of semester): Last day for students to request to drop a class. Class options are limited. Classes dropped between this date and the end of the 5th week will result in a “W” on a student’s transcripts.
Fri, October 6 (end of 5th week): Last day for students to request a Pass/No Pass grade or contract course. (Form available in Counseling Office). Only one P/N or contract class allowed per semester. After the 5th week of the semester, administrative approval is required to drop a class, and and “E” grade will be posted on the student’s transcript for the dropped class.
Fri, October 13: State In-service Day (no school for students) – Last day for teacher to turn in grade changes including completion of “I” grades from last semester.
November 8: End of First Quarter
November 10: Veterans Day Observed (no school)
November 23-24: Thanksgiving and Native American Heritage Day (no school)
December 15: 1-hour early dismissal
December 18-January 1, 2024: Winter break (no school)
January 15: Martin Luther King Jr. Day (no school)
January 25 & 26: First Semester Finals

Thu, February 1: First day of Second semester
Wed, February 14 – (10th day of semester): last day for students to request to drop a class. Class options are limited.
February 19-23: Mid-winter break, including Presidents Day (no school)
Friday March 8: (end of 5th week): Last day for students to request a Pass/No Pass grade or contract course. (Form available in Counseling Office). May 27: Memorial Day (no school)
June 10: Senior Finals (Periods 1/3/5)
June 11: Senior Finals (Periods 2/4/6)
June 13: Check-Out, Laptop Check-In (more details to follow)
June 14: Mandatory Graduation Rehearsal 9 a.m. in the PAC
- Graduation Ceremony at Memorial Stadium 5 p.m.
June 19: Juneteenth Holiday (no school)
June 21: Last day of school Gr 9-11 (1-hour early dismissal).
June 24-26: Potential emergency closure makeup days.
