Please come and support the Wind Ensemble and fill the Ballard HS Performing Arts Center with family and friends for the Wind Ensemble and Percussion "Send Off" Concert before they leave for their performance at the Washington Music Educators Association Conference in Yakima WA!

The 75 wind and percussion students, under the direction of Ballard High School Director of Bands Michael James, will be performing three contemporary works:

    “Aurora Awakes” by John Mackey
“A Solemn Place” by Wayne Oquin
“Apollo Unleashed” from Symphony No. 2 by Frank Ticheli

The WMEA State conference takes place every two years and involves approximately 2,000 music educators, exhibitors, and professional musicians and performers from across the state. More information and a full conference schedule is available on the WMEA website.
