Last Day for SPS Flu Shot Clinics

Protect your family from the flu.

Seattle Visiting Nurse Association will be offering flu shot clinics this fall from Sept 17 – Oct 24. All SPS students, families and staff are welcome to attend. Flu shots will be free for those with insurance, including Apple Health. Appointments will be required.

Flu shot clinics are held just inside the school and staff follow COVID protocols. Pre-enrolling for an appointment on the SVNA website is required however people who walk up may use their cell phone and a QR code to enroll. Flu shot clinics are open to any child (age 4 and above) and adult. 

Six of these regional clinics will also offer COVID-19 vaccines for all students, staff and families who are twelve and up. COVID-19 clinics are in partnership with Safeway/Albertsons Pharmacy and Public Health Seattle King County.

It’s Easy to Avoid the Flu this Year

Step 1: Find a date and location that is convenient for you and your family:These are regional clinics open to all in the SPS community. You do not have to be a student of staff of a particular school to make an appointment.

Step 3: Come to your appointment

You will need to bring: 

1. Identification with date of birth: state, tribe, or federal-issued ID. A billing or bank statement with your name and address can also be used.
2. Wear short sleeves or loose-fitting sleeves that are easy to roll up so that you can get vaccinated in your upper arm.
3. Authorized adult consent: If you are younger than 18 years old, you may need consent from an authorized adult to get the vaccine. After making the appointment on-line, a consent form will be emailed to you to print, fill out and bring to the appointment. Consent forms in multiple languages will also be available to fill out at the clinics.
