    BHS Students!  Put Books, Games & More On HOLD

    BHS Students:  You can borrow books, games, puzzles, weaving kits and quilling kits from the BHS library over the summer using the steps outlined below!

    Questions? Email Ms. Chambers what you would like to put on hold.  

    Follow These Steps For Viewing & Putting Books On Hold

    1. Select the Student Family Portals at the top of all school websites.

    2. Select the Academic Tools icon located in the High School tab.

    3. Select the Library Catalog icon to go to the Destiny Discover Collection. Select Washington and Ballard High School to view the collection.

    4. BHS Students: You must sign in to put a book on hold. Students use your Seattle Districts Username to sign in put books and other items on hold.

    New Freshmen: Please email Ms. Chambers at tschambers@seattleschools.org to put items on hold.

    5. Select the HOLD button. No more than 15 books on hold and get the best books for you! 

    The books you put on hold will be available for you to Curbside Pick Up on Thursday, August 6 from 12-3pm.

    Watch the How to Access the Destiny Discover Collection that walks through the steps and learn how to place holds online for books and games from Ballard’s library. 

    Come to Ballard High School on the designated days to pick up your holds, without even entering the building with masks and following safety protocols. If you would like to borrow books from Ballard HS but don't think you can get to school to pick them up, tell Ms. Chambers at tschambers@seattleschools.org so we can make a plan. 

    If you want to put a puzzle on hold email Ms. Chambers at tschambers@seattleschools.org to place puzzle holds.
