    Congratulations to Photo Editor Miles Whitworth who was awarded 1st place in the Edward R. Murrow High School Journalism Competition for his photo of football players kneeling during the national anthem which was published in December. The competition includes entries from five different Northwest states.

    The Talisman newspaper is an open public forum for student expression, and exists to give a student perspective on issues relating to the Ballard student body and community. It is a nationally recognized and awarding winning publication.
