    SAT Important Instructions | Ballard Juniors

    School Day SAT is Wednesday, March 7th

  • (The SAT will NOT include Admission tickets this year)
  • The SAT will be given to Juniors at Ballard free with no pre-registration on March 7.  Refer to the PSAT section below for helpful tips on understanding your PSAT scores and using them to prepare for the SAT.

    11th graders will need to come to school early. Registration begins at 7:45am and doors close at 8:30am. Late arrivals will not be allowed to test.

    Students need to bring:

    • Admission Ticket (this will be mailed home) (The SAT will NOT include Admission tickets this year)
    • Photo ID (school ID is fine)
    • two #2 pencils
    • an approved calculator, scientific or graphing is recommended but not required
    • a snack and water (lunch will be after the test, approximately 1:30)
    • Students will be dismissed to lunch after SAT.

     
    Students Should Not Bring:
    (These items are NOT permitted in the testing rooms per College Board regulations)

    • cell phones
    • backpacks
    • other technology

    The SAT with essay is offered at no charge to all BHS Juniors.  Families do not need to do anything to sign-up.  All current juniors were registered by the SPS district. Students taking the SAT will NOT receive an admission ticket prior to the test this year. They will simply check-in with their photo ID.

    Testing Locations

    • Junior students with College Board Accommodations in the Counseling Center
    • All other Juniors in Main Gym


    Other Notes

    • No Bells or Announcements after 8:45 a.m.
    • Late Arrival Students: Students may not enter the testing rooms once the test materials have been passed out. They will either attend their normal schedule or go to the Library during the period in which their class is only 11th graders
    • Students will be dismissed to lunch after SAT.
