    Ballard High School PSAT 
    Information and Score Reporting 2017-2018

    Parents & Students: See below for helpful information on understanding student's PSAT scores and how students can use them to prepare for the SAT. The SAT will be offered to all Juniors on March 7th at Ballard High School.

    PSAT Results
    will be released online on Dec 11th. Students who took the PSAT on Oct. 11th will need to log onto their College Board Account in order to view their scores. If you would like to learn more about how to understand your scores, get tips for preparing for the SAT or need assistance with your College Board account, come to the Ballard Counseling Center. BHS counselors are there to help.

    Students will receive their original PSAT test booklets in their LA class in January. 11th graders will also receive a SAT student guide (link provided below). Running Start students need to pick up their information from the counseling office.

    What to Bring to the test
    • Two #2 Pencils
    • Scientific or Graphing Calculator
    • Water and Snacks
    • A jacket in case the gym is cold

    What Not to Bring to the test
    • Cell phone
    • Electronics
    • Back pack

    Calculators permitted during testing are
    • graphing calculators
    • scientific calculator
    • four function calculators

    Unacceptable calculators include

    • cell phone calculators
    • calculators with typewriter keypads
    • calculators that require an electrical outlet 
    • calculators that make noise
    • calculators that use paper tape
    • any device that has a writing pad or pen
    • PDAs or handheld or laptop computers
